Survey: Marketing to a Technical Audience

This 8-question survey is an effort to get some data to support or debunk common ideas about marketing to technical audiences, and engineers in particular. Thank you in advance for your participation!

Engineers: How much do you agree or disagree with the following statements?

1: My purchase decisions are well-researched and based on logic more than emotion.

2: When learning about a product's benefits, I like to see the related features and how they work.

3: The use of jargon and technical terms in a presentation makes it more authoritative and/or appealing.

4: The best presentations offer lots of useful information without a hard sell.

5: I share useful content and presentations with my peers using social media or community forums.

6: Visually slick sales presentations are often advertising fluff and limited in useful content.

7: I am not typically interested in corporate branding or messages from a company's executives.

8: I generally like to read about products, but prefer images or video where they add value.
