




NAHTM, the National Association of Healthcare Transport Managers, identified their existing web site as a potential area for improvement, with the goal of adding value for NAHTM's members. Tasked with the project, Framework Media listened to NAHTM's requirements, identified areas of further opportunity, and began implementation.
The site received a graphics overhaul and completely new programming to be cross-browser compatible. A members-only discussion forum was added to allow members to post questions for others to answer. A new online application form automatically creates new member accounts upon approval. The recently added jobs board gives members access to external job postings, and a member directory promotes contact between members. News and events listings are database-driven and easy for NAHTM committee members to update.

The NAHTM member database greatly facilitates organizational administration, allowing members to update their contact information as necessary. NAHTM leaders can send e-mails to all active members. Mechanisms for membership dues are in place, as is an integrated PayPal/credit card payment system.
A recent member satisfaction survey held at NAHTM's annual conference, the web site garnered a 95% approval rating. Since the conference ended in May, NAHTM's discussion forums have become an important method of communicating and continuing conversations that began at the conference.
